My Philosophy

I am humanistic and non- judgmental in my orientation and work in an active, collaborative and empathic way. I view the partnership between the patient and therapist as a crucial ingredient in the change process. Within a secure, emotionally supportive relationship, one can evaluate oneself openly and non-critically. This sometimes involves uncovering hidden motives and understanding their impact on our current thinking, feeling and behavior. Maladaptive patterns are hard to change but with commitment and openness, change is not only possible but also a necessary component of a fully realized life.
